Recover the AS-IS picture
Analyse existing behaviour, SQL data, APIs, interfaces and data flows to expose dependencies and gaps.
Martin Modl · Prague, Czech Republic
From complex existing systems to implementation-ready requirements.
I investigate how applications, interfaces and data actually work, then translate business and technical needs into requirements and designs that developers can act on. This is a technical system-analysis role grounded in software engineering.
Analyse existing behaviour, SQL data, APIs, interfaces and data flows to expose dependencies and gaps.
Develop TO-BE models, functional requirements and NFRs, with impact analysis across affected systems.
Use sequence diagrams, acceptance criteria and traceability to connect stakeholder needs to implementation and validation.
I facilitate stakeholder workshops, clarify ambiguous requirements and validate assumptions with developers, architects, vendors and system owners. I maintain system and interface documentation in Jira and Confluence so that open questions, dependencies and implementation readiness remain visible.

Examples described at an enterprise level to respect confidentiality.
Enterprise AS-IS analysis, application readiness, dependencies and feasibility assessment supporting TO-BE solution and integration concepts.
Application and infrastructure analysis addressing data protection, transport security and dependencies across enterprise platforms.
Useful when legacy behaviour is poorly documented, a change affects several systems, or business requirements need deeper technical analysis before engineering can begin.
