Senior Business Analyst for Complex IT & Transformation Projects

I help organisations understand business needs, processes and existing systems, then translate them into clear requirements, process models, solution concepts and implementable changes.

I work between business stakeholders, architects, developers, vendors and system owners. My solution architecture and software engineering background helps me understand technical implications while keeping the analysis centred on the business problem, the people affected and the value of a change.

Problems I help solve

Agree on the business need

Discover the problem, map stakeholders and use workshops to clarify expected outcomes, business rules and competing needs before agreeing scope.

Understand the process and its impacts

Model AS-IS and TO-BE processes, identify gaps and improvement opportunities, and analyse application dependencies, data flows and integration requirements.

Prepare a feasible change

Assess options and solutions, clarify functional and non-functional requirements, and maintain traceability from business need to specification and delivery.

Responsibilities and delivery

I identify stakeholders, facilitate discovery workshops and clarify business rules, scope, functional requirements and NFRs. I check requirements for completeness and consistency, trace them to agreed needs and assess gaps and impacts across processes, applications and integrations. I compare solution options against feasibility, cost, delivery time and business value, then develop TO-BE concepts and implementation-ready specifications with the delivery team. Vendor coordination and Agile/Scrum delivery support help keep the agreed intent visible as implementation progresses.

Technologies and methods

BPMN · UML · ArchiMate · Process and system-flow diagrams · Sequence diagrams · Sparx Enterprise Architect · Archi · Camunda · Draw.io · Jira · Confluence. Technical analysis is supported by SQL, REST/SOAP APIs, XML/JSON and Kafka where business processes depend on data exchange and events.

Selected experience

Examples described at an enterprise level to respect confidentiality.

Energy transformation

End-to-end business and IT analysis addressing requirement completeness and consistency, AS-IS application readiness, TO-BE concepts, dependencies and impacts. Options considered feasibility, cost, delivery time and value in cooperation with business, application owners, architects, vendors and technical teams.

Pharmaceuticals

Business requirements and data-flow analysis supporting enterprise integration design with Cornerstone LMS, Dell Boomi and Axway API, coordinating business stakeholders and middleware providers.

Retail and enterprise transformation

Business-process analysis, AS-IS / TO-BE work and business/technical stakeholder alignment in enterprise transformation environments involving SAP S/4HANA and Salesforce.

Other enterprise change

Process analysis, regulatory and business requirements, product and solution scope, GDPR-related change and Agile delivery across enterprise environments.

Where this expertise is useful

Useful in enterprise transformation, process improvement and regulatory change where scope crosses business functions and system boundaries. I connect discovery, AS-IS understanding and requirements to process, data and system impacts, solution options and a TO-BE concept, then support specification and delivery. The responsibility continues beyond documenting requirements.
